The GB49 bifold door is precision crafted in our advanced factory and promises an excellent folding sliding door for your residential and commercial projects.
We know you have a choice of bifold doors to choose from. However, the GB49 bifold door stands out. Here’s everything you need to know about our expertly-crafted bifold door and why it provides an ideal solution for new build extensions or replacing any dated patio door.
Using the renowned Cortizo profiles, we’ve re-engineered and enhanced GB49 to make it even better. Compared to the previous generation Cortizo bifold, GB49 is slimmer and more modern in its overall styling, internal and external appearance.
Using premium-grade aluminium, professionally applied colour finishes and the best possible hardware and components, GB49 is built to last and withstand everyday use in residential or light commercial projects.
Compared to the standard Cortizo versions, GB49 is has slimmer frames and more refined styling. The central meeting stile is just 110mm, while the frame sides are reduced to 89.5mm. These slimmer dimensions give the GB49 a cleaner appearance and maximise the glass area.
And for our network of installers, pre-assembled gaskets support quicker installation.
GB49 starts at two folding panels, right up to 14 sashes. Doors can open in or out and come as fixed or open corner designs. We also manufacture GB49 to suit standard or low track designs.
You can also configure your bifold doors with the convenient traffic door, enabling easy entry and exit without having to fold all the panels back.
You can also use GB49 doors in your projects is matching single or double doors. There are many advantages to using a bifold system instead of a conventional residential door suite.
Bifold doors use thinner profiles throughout and are therefore usually thinner than regular single and French Doors. Even better, because GB49 can go up to 1200mm wide and up to 3000mm, you can create larger patio doors without needing side or top panels.
And best of all, having bifold doors matching with single or double doors on a project allow for a consistent look across your property. Profiles, handles, hinges, locks, gaskets and the aluminium profiles all match.
With triple glazing and the correct right glass specification GB49 can achieve U-values as low as 0.8 W/m²K. Air permeability is Class 4, water tightness is Class E750, and wind resistance is Class C3.
Double or triple glazing is available, with a glazing range of 25mm to 48mm.
The GB49 is tested to PAS 24 standards. Multi-point locking systems and robust build quality support residential security requirements. For added security, consider laminated glass in place of toughened. High security key cylinders are designed to resist drilling, snapping and picking.
The Cortizo Bifold Plus comes recommended as a contemporary folding sliding door at a mid-range price, with a wide choice of sizes, colours, and configurations. And it’s backed by the reliable Glideline trade supply service, guarantee and service levels.
