Glideline Invests in Equipment to Support Growth and Product Expansion

As 2026 begins, we are delighted to announce a major new machinery investment at our Great Yarmouth facility with the delivery of an Elumatec SBZ 145 – a high-performance CNC/saw combination machine designed to streamline and futureproof our fabrication capabilities.

This £500,000 investment strengthens our production infrastructure ahead of a busy 2026, ensuring we maintain our reputation for precision, consistency, and fast lead times as demand continues to grow.

The new elumatec SBZ 145 is an advanced CNC processing centre with integrated sawing capability. It allows us to load a bar length of aluminium extrusion and have it exit the machine fully prepared for fabrication – all in a single continuous process. For us, this means:

• Less manual handling

• Reduced risk of surface damage

• Improved accuracy

• Shorter processing times

This machine joins our existing fleet, which now includes:

• 2 x 5-axis saws

• 3 x CNC machines

• 2 x bead saws

The SBZ 145 will be dedicated to processing profiles for our new Aspect Sliding Door system and our aluminium casement window range, both of which are seeing strong uptake among trade installers and specifiers.

By combining high-speed cutting and CNC machining in one unit, the SBZ 145 brings even greater consistency to the fabrication of complex parts. This is particularly valuable as our product portfolio continues to evolve to meet the expectations of today’s residential and commercial markets.
